In a move that probably surprised many, Maryland governor Larry Hogan announced his support for a complete ban of fracking in Maryland. We applaud this decision to protect Maryland’s clean water resources.
“Our administration has concluded that the possible environmental risks of fracking simply outweigh any potential benefits,” Hogan said. “I urge members of the legislature on both sides of the aisle and in both houses to come together and finally put this issue to rest,” Hogan said during a State House news conference.
